Kannapolis is an amazing small town along highway 29 and close to I-85 Northeast of Charlotte, North Carolina. Kannapolis has parts in both Cabarrus and Rowan counties. There are rural areas as well as the city itself which has over 42,000 residents. There is great shopping, dining, fitness, outdoor recreation and more inside the city. There is also easy access to I-85 to take you to Uptown Charlotte, Charlotte Douglas International Airport, and Concord Mills.
There are many homes in Kannapolis that don’t fit into a specific neighborhood. Many of these homes have historical features that make them unique. Homes were built between 1925 and 1997 and range between 712 and 3,516 square feet of living space. Lots can be small or large with the smallest coming in at .15 of an acre and the largest at one and a half acres. This variety means that there is something for every type of family here.
There are six different elementary schools in the Kannapolis area that all feed to the new Kannapolis Middle School, then on to A.L. Brown High School. Some homes are zoned for Cabarrus County School and others are zoned to Rowan-Salisbury Schools. Please research schools for each home to be sure of zoning.
